Mini-Splits
A mini split system is referring to an inverter driven variable capacity side discharge outdoor unit. A lot of people just think they are the ugly wall-mounted units, but that is untrue. We have a large selection of indoor units. We can put in a typical system with ductwork just like the old school systems so it will have typical vents and there are no indoor wall units.
Ductless System
The reason to select this unit is there's very little losses. With a typical system, the unit is often up in the attic which is very inefficient, with a mini split you can install them in a dry crawl space, a closet, crawlspace or in a basement which has much greater efficiency. These locations also give you strong heating capability with no electric back up and are able to heat down with outside temps down to 20 degrees.
Heating & Cooling
This kind of heating system is very common in Europe and they've been using it for the last 20 years. In the U.S. we are just adapting the mini-split systems now. It can be difficult to design the proper system, we specialize in designing the correct system to work ideally for your home.
