My fascination with heating and cooling started when I was a kid learning that heating oil was just diesel fuel and that my parents home was just heated by a box burning diesel and that we had to get a 250 gallon tank refilled a couple times a year almost like a car or a truck that doesn’t move. I knew that there were much better technologies out there so I decided after I got out of high school to get licensed in HVAC refrigerant.

I was about 22 when my parents let me install a geothermal heating and air conditioning system in their home. We sourced the equipment from online, we pulled the permits to put the wells in the front yard not realizing what we were undertaking but we did it anyway because we were confident that this was the best way to condition the house.
We dug trenches in the front yard to lay five wells. Installed an Ecobee thermostat where I data logged the energy usage. It was fascinating setting up the four different stages of heat and tuning in the exact set points. There was so much to it, it was a great learning experience and that’s how I got started doing HVAC in 2011.

It’s crazy that it is such a long time ago but it feels like just yesterday. My knowledge and my experience with designing systems to retrofit houses has been ongoing and project after project of successful designs has led me to believe that we are the best choice for your HVAC needs.
